As we predicted, The Marana Tigers varsity football team conquered the Phoenix Sunnyslope Vikings last night at a packed Tiger Stadium in Marana, Arizona (Final Score (#8) Marana 26 – (#9) Sunnyslope 17). With a well rounded attack, the Tigers pounced on several unsportsmanlike conduct penalties committed by the Vikings staff and players.

The character woes continued for the Vikings in the game with the ejection of one player and one coach. With that being said, The Tigers showed discipline and poise as they moved the ball with a balanced offensive attack and a “bend but don’t break” defense.

Next week the Tigers travel to #1 seed Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, Arizona) to take on a Saints team with an offense which has amassed 3,842 yards and a defense which has only allowed 149 points.
